Construction
is technical
Building is human

Coaching Services

Every construction project is built by people. The technical challenges of construction can be complex, but some of the hardest parts of the work have very little to do with how we build. They come from the human experience of building.

Construction Navigation explores that side of the industry: how pressure affects the way we think, communicate, make decisions, and respond when things don't go as planned. Through practical strategies, somatic coaching, and a deeper understanding of human behavior, the goal isn't to eliminate the challenges inherent in construction. It's to build the awareness and skills that help us navigate them with greater clarity, resilience, and intention.

Somatic Coaching Explained: Part 1

The Wisdom of the Body

Somatic coaching begins with a simple idea: the body participates in how we experience and respond to the world around us. The first article in this series explores interoception, the brain's ability to sense and interpret what's happening inside the body.

Why can a client text make your stomach tighten before you've even read it? Why can you know everything is fine and still feel like it isn't? Understanding interoception helps explain the connection between physical sensations, emotions, and the way we respond under pressure.

Somatic Coaching Explained: Part 2

The Protector You've Outgrown

You know you need to make the call. You know avoiding the conversation won't make the problem go away. So why can something you understand perfectly well still feel so difficult to do?

In Part Two, we look at what happens when the brain predicts a threat before anything has actually happened, how the body becomes part of that prediction, and why patterns that once helped protect us can eventually begin working against us.

Somatic Coaching Explained: Part 2

The Path Forward

Change begins when what the brain knows and what the body believes no longer have to compete. Somatic coaching helps bring the two together, creating space to respond to what’s happening now instead of what experience has taught us to expect.

In Part Three, we explore how somatic coaching helps us recognize protective responses, question whether they still match what's happening today, and give the nervous system new information so the brain and body can begin working from the same truth.
